Get Your Joy Back

Dear Team Christi,

Wow, I continue to be amazed at the goodness of God to surround me with faith family like you. God is pouring out His goodness and we’re running to keep up! Thank you for joining us on this journey with Jesus. I’m excited to share with you soon the great door God’s opened for us. (It’s amazing!)

It’s been two and half years since my husband, Mylon, passed. Mylon was my best friend and we built the foundation for this ministry together. When he stepped into heaven, the change was shocking—I went from having someone for 25 years to share every detail of life with to abruptly handling every realm of life…solo. Psalms 126:5 promises, “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.” I definitely understand sowing in tears. But I had to make the decision…no more sad days, I’m getting my joy back! There must be a point where you require of yourself and of your heart, to move forward by embracing what’s ahead and releasing the pain of the past—the unanswered questions, hurt, and frustration. This may sound like a “no brainer” but I know those who decades later are still struggling to “forget what lies behind.” (Philippians 3:13)

God gave Israel 30 days to mourn Moses’ death. References in the Bible to mourning are limited to days, NOT decades. Deuteronomy 34:8 says, “And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days. So the days of weeping and mourning for Moses ended.” Wow, the first time I saw this verse it was sobering. It’s clear direction from our Heavenly Father, there must be AN END to the mourning period. We’re not to mourn loss for the rest of our lives. Why is that? Because Nehemiah 8:10 explains, “Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Sorrow saps our strength. We must be strong to finish our race. Whatever trauma you’ve experienced, don’t let the secular mindset tell you that you’ll never be happy again, you’ll never get over it. I’ve heard these same discouraging comments since Mylon departed, don’t receive it!

Psalms 30:5 NKJV says, “Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.” God also puts a timeline to weeping. Night signifies a temporary season of difficulty and pain. But we have inside information…JOY IS COMING. Psalms 126:1-6 TPT confirms, “Those who sow their tears as seeds will reap a harvest with joyful shouts of glee. They may weep as they go out carrying their seed to sow, but they will return with joyful laughter and shouting with gladness as they bring back armloads of blessing and a harvest overflowing!”

When my beloved departed, I sowed my most precious seed of faith and love from decades of holy matrimony and the power of agreement. Please know it isn’t easy for me to share with you the most painful season I’ve ever walked through. I hope you don’t know what that kind of heartbreak means. But if you do, please allow me to encourage you that whatever loss you’ve experienced, don’t let the enemy steal from you, SOW IT! Let’s say together,

“I declare an end to weeping and mourning. I’m getting my joy back. What I’ve sown in tears, I will reap in joy with armloads of blessing and a harvest overflowing!”

As you sow your precious seed this month, we have an update for the New Wineskins Project. With the IT work now completed and an additional computer purchased, the total cost is $25,000. THANK YOU to those who’ve given—$5,450.00 has come in and 22% is paid, glory to God! If you desire to sow towards the $19,550.00 remaining, your gift helps with the launch of the new ministry name, logo, website and all the new upgraded office systems. Because you’re sowing into our JOY, along with our prayer team, we believe for your new season of joy and laughter making you stronger than ever! (Click Here to Sow)

Delighted to be on the journey with you,

Christi

P.S. My passion is helping people come out of depression, sorrow and fear and…laugh again. As I was seeking the Lord about what to do, He revealed to me: Healed Heart Conference. One full day of teaching on the subject of heart healing by me and some of my dearest friends who’ve also walked this path. We’re considering a Saturday in the fall that would include a general morning session, optional afternoon workshops and conclude with an evening service.

Click here to let us know you’d like to attend our first Healed Heart conference.

P.S.S. Don’t forget to check out our new website with all of our Heart Help resources at CHRISTI.ORG.
