Reward Is Coming!
Dear Team Christi,
Aren’t you excited about JESUS? It’s so much fun serving The King of the Universe; we’re thankful for Him and for YOU! With all my heart, THANK YOU for your covenant partnership. So many of you faithfully prayed for Mylon and me during multiple battles with his health in the 25 years we were married. The Lord revealed to me what He’s about to do for all of us who’ve warred through the years in one fight of faith after another. Get ready, this is going to THRILL YOU!
Recently, the Holy Spirit corrected me concerning “venting” about the harshness of the last years of our battle. Matthew 12:34 explains, if frustration comes out of our mouth, it’s in our heart. We can’t make excuses, “Oh, I didn’t mean to say that.” This bears repeating, if it came out of our mouth, it’s in our heart. So, I knew to quickly repent and “cast the care” to The Lord. (If you’re in the same place, that’s all you need to do too.) But what He said next is how I got my breakthrough.
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6
Mylon and I had the power of agreement for 25 years. We sought daily to do God’s will, learning and growing through every test of faith. In those decades of standing, declaring and sacrificially sowing, I assumedthe reward would be finishing our race together. But it was a different outcome and Mylon graduated to heaven. During unforeseeable seasons of life, others may not understand what’s required of us but our merciful and sympathetic High Priest, Jesus, He knows. First Corinthians 15:58 NLT reminds us, “nothing we do for The Lord is ever useless.” We please God when we believe He’s THE REWARDER of those who “diligently, earnestly, sincerely and passionately seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6 NLT, AMPC, TPT)
Glory to God! Did you get that? Jesus is ready to reward us for our perseverance but here’s our part: we must BELIEVE REWARD IS COMING! The enemy tries to deceive through false humility, that it’s selfish to expect a reward. But according to GOD’S WORD, it’s NOT ARROGANT to believe you’ll be rewarded—IT’S FAITH! Hebrews 10:35 NKJV confirms saying, “Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.” Faith is confidence in God! The AMPC says, “Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward.” WooHoo! When God says GREAT REWARD, He’s not hyping. We’re about to be sho’ nuff, slam dunk blessed!
One of my favorite love stories in the Bible is Ruth and Boaz. After being widowed, Ruth remained faithful to covenant when she left her homeland and family to help her mother-in-law. In Ruth 2:11-12 AMPC, Boaz blessed her saying, “The Lord recompense you for what you have done, and a FULL REWARD be given you by the Lord!” And boy, did she get rewarded! Not only did she marry the wealthy and prominent Boaz, but she also gave birth to a son, Obed, which became the lineage of Jesus. For those of you who’ve been in a long battle, you’ve been on my heart and I want you to know I’ve decreed this blessing from the book of Ruth over you. In faith-filled agreement, please say with me,
“I trust in God. I believe He is THE REWARDER of those who seek Him. I refuse to cast away my confidence in Him and His promises to me. I know a full reward and glorious compensation is coming!”
