Wow, I just completed a week of hearing (and ministering!) the Word at the Southwest Believers’ Convention in Ft. Worth, TX. I had the tremendous honor of hosting Healed Heart with Christi twice on The Victory Channel LIVE Takeover, and also sat in on the I Gotta Confess podcast. My Journey from Heartbreak to Wholeness
In the beginning, I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to write Mylon’s and my love story because every time I tried, I’d weep over our precious memories. But when I spent Time with Jesus, He comforted me with His promises. As I began to write down each Spirit-led step forward in my journal, the manuscript was formed. This book is a manual, outlining the spiritual and practical steps that led to me overcoming heartbreak. September 8th is special because it’s the 3 year anniversary of Mylon’s graduation to heaven. I wrote about that holy moment in the book’s Introduction. I thought I’d share some of it with you. As a member of Team Christi, you’re the first to read it:
“As the sun began to set on Shabbat, the Jewish weekly day of rest, my dear husband, Mylon, began his first day of forever on September 8, 2023. The number eight in Hebrew signifies eternity and a new beginning. How appropriate. When Mylon entered eternal rest, it was the end of our great love story, but my life began a new chapter.
These precious memories, interwoven from the first chapter to the last, are the place where Mylon still abides with me. These recollections represent the brief moment between dreaming and alertness when I think he’s still sleeping next to me. As my heart healed, these reflections that were once agonizing have now become sweet consolation.
The instant Mylon stepped through the veil; I wasn’t sure if life was possible without the one my soul loved. But when I looked up, beyond the sorrow to my Savior and Lord, King Jesus, He proved He’s also The Healer of the brokenhearted.
Whatever challenge you may be facing, be encouraged that none of what you’re dealing with caught God by surprise. He knows the end from the beginning, and He has a plan of redemption in place for you. A way out of the emotional pain to a life filled with His perfect peace, unspeakable joy and sweet satisfaction. He’s performed this miracle for me and He’s ready to show you each step on your heart healing journey…
From start to finish, Jeremiah 29:11 was working, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope” (NLT). When I laid down my preconceived ideas and trusted God’s good plan, my hope was revived and my future made bright. I can joyfully testify to Isaiah 54:5, my Maker is my Husband now, and my path is brighter every day (Proverbs 4:18). His grace is sufficient. I didn’t know how to go from sorrow to joy—The Comforter made a way!
As I share each step taken that led to wholeness, please know I’m never preaching at you. I’m one of you. I’m living everything I preach. I’m not testifying because my life is perfect. I’m testifying right in the middle of the toughest challenge I’ve ever faced. I’m experiencing the goodness of God on a level I didn’t know was possible. “I’m convinced more than ever before, The Word works.”
Glory to God, it’s the truth! The Word always works on our behalf when we stay in faith. As you sow your precious seed this month, be encouraged that God is making a way where there seems to be no way. My testimony is proof you can come out of any heartbreaking situation with a happy ending. As you trust and obey, He’s doing the same for YOU!
